CATHOLIC HEALTH CARE FOUNDATION OF GREATER MANCHESTER OPENS ITS DOORS

Members of the Catholic Health Care Foundation of Greater Manchester Board of Directors celebrate the Foundation’s launch at its offices in Manchester. The Catholic Health Care Foundation of Greater Manchester (Foundation) is now operating to improve health outcomes and healthcare access to people in New Hampshire.

Located at 153 Ash Street, it works to financially support community health organizations that provide care to those most in need, including Health Care for the Homeless and Poisson Dental Facility.

The Foundation was created earlier this year with proceeds from the sale of Catholic Medical Center (CMC) to HCA Healthcare. It is overseen by the Bishop of Manchester and a volunteer board of directors.

The board includes: Matt Kfoury, Chair, President and CEO of K4E Corporation; Kristy Merrill, Treasurer, President and CEO of the New Hampshire Bankers Association; Meredith Cook, Secretary, Chancellor and General Counsel of the Diocese of Manchester; Thomas Blonski, President and CEO of Catholic Charities NH; Jonathan Eddinger, MD, President of the State of NH Board of Medicine; Joseph Graham, Vice President/Director of Sales, Primary Bank; Marc Guillemette, Vice President of Catholic Mission and Identity, CMC; Bevin Kennedy, Cabinet Secretary for Development and Communications, Diocese of Manchester; Reverend Joshua Livingston, Pastor, Our Lady of the Mountains Parish, North Conway; Lu Mulla, Retired RN, CMC; Timothy M. Riley, Partner, President and CEO of The Harbor Group and Alexander J. Walker, Jr., Executive Director.

“The Catholic Health Care Foundation of Greater Manchester will reliably assist those on the front lines of healthcare delivery to vulnerable populations,” Walker says. “We are eager to partner with vital community programs making a positive difference in and around Manchester.”

The Foundation will support community health organizations with missions consistent with the healing ministry of Jesus Christ. Grant applications will be accepted beginning in the first quarter of 2026.

The Catholic Health Care Foundation of Greater Manchester (Foundation) was established to improve health, health outcomes and access to high quality healthcare for the residents of Greater Manchester and the State of New Hampshire in accordance with the healing mission of Jesus Christ and the works of mercy.

Through involved grant making to nonprofit organizations, the Foundation works to improve health and wellness consistent with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.

The Foundation is operated by an Executive Director and support staff and overseen by the Bishop of Manchester and a volunteer Board of Directors. It was created in 2025 and funded from the sale of Catholic Medical Center to HCA Healthcare.
